Imagine a continuously changing roundabout, where each round is different from the last. The inflow of influences create new outcomes. Traffic signs become irrelevant, the inner compass all the more tangible.

I was raised by classical musicians, educated by jazz masters and surrounded by popular culture. All these influences naturally became part of me. In making this album, I tried to explore this diversity. Can a single Aria have many identities hidden inside, just waiting to be invented? What happens when you mix Bouzouki with Bazooka? When you play a swinging Fughetta? Can you mix instruments like a bassoon, electric guitar, trumpet, saxophone, piano, french horn, drums and double bass, which have never played together before?

Questions like these inspired the music on Roundabout, my debut album, coming out on april 19th.
